Software Testing Engineers under FSW program

I am wondering whether any Software Test Engineer has got PR, by opting for NOC 2173 under FSW program. As the duties mentioned under 2173 doesn't really match to the ones Test Engineer performs, it will be a tricky situation for the Tester to produce Reference letter matching the points of 2173. Even mathing 50% or less is difficult, as 2173 responsibilities totally correlate to development.

Please respond, if any Tester has really got selected under 2173. If yes, please do share your responsibilities mentioend in Reference letter or few pointers how development based pointers were translated to Testing. As 2283 is no where eligible under FSW, it is becoming near impossible task to produce reference letter in line with 2173 responsibilities.

I wish Test Engineers would have been marked under a different NOC code, with matching requirements.

I take it you realize that NOC 2173 has reached its cap and CIC is no longer accepting applications?

Yah, i agree that 2173 under FSW has reached its cap limit. I was inquiring so that, i can decide whether i stand a chance under Express Entry system, under 2173 with my Software Testing skill set. As per the roles mentioned in 2173, Software Test Engineer is present, but the responsibilities are 100% match to a developer, so i was wondering whether any Test Engineer has ever got a PR through 2173. This will be a guidance to other Test Engineers, who are gearing up for Express Entry

noc 2283 would have been the right choice, but unfortunately it is not listed in FSW2014 noc list
