one Thought would be to do a soft landing of perhaps two days or two weeks, and returning permanently at least ninety days after that. The permanent residency card would be received at reliable relatives (also the sponsors home address).
— Is this in any way against the rules? The purpose would be so that our children (who are Canadian citizens and not the applicants ) can complete their school year in their birth country.
— Are there any unresolvable potential problems such as the permanent residency card getting lost by Canada post, or the picture submitted with the family sponsorship application being somehow wrong and Immigration wanting a picture taken in Canada, or something else?
— finally the applicant will need to replace her passport at some point, they are only issued for in person applications in her home country. Would she be able to replace her passport during the period between her return after the soft landing and her later full move, or is the permanent resident travel permission document somehow valid only with the original passport ? (Does this document have her passport number on it?)
Thank you
