Soft Landing and List of goods.

Hi,

I landed on last october (for one Week only) in Toronto to confirm my PR status, with my list of goods ready (I did it on excel).
But, during the immigration process, as my English is not very good, I was a little lost and anxious, so, I totally forgot to give my list. And I Don't remember anyone asked me for this list. But like I said my English is not good so maybe they asked and I missed it.
It was a "soft landing" and I said it when I was asked for an address.
Now I will land permanently on next february and I'm scared I will have to pay tax on my goods because I did not give my list in october.
I read somewhere on this forum that when you soft land you are not considered as being a "settler" and so you Don't have to give this list of goods. I doubt it because not everyone agree on this. But, if it's true, then how can I give my list of goods ? and when ? and to who ?
As I am a PR now (not with PR card but with PRTD), on next february when I permanently land I should not meet again the immigration officer, right ? So to who should I explain my situation ?

Please help me I Don't know what to expect…

You give them the list when you go through Customs when you return as a "Settler". You are correct that a "soft landing" is not settlement. You will need to request that you be sent to Customs secondary inspection to do the paperwork, not Immigration.

I would never have thought to ask directly to be sent to inspection !
