Hi, anyone knows how long should I stay out of the social assistance before submiting an aplication to sponsor my wife?

The rule says "do not receive social assistance for any other reason than disability" so, If I find a job and quit social assistance when would I be able to sponsor my wife?

I also was told that it doesnt matter the income I make since I dont receive social assistance, is this true? I live in Quebec.

Thanks for your Help

I am not sure of how long you need to be clear of social assistance befor sponsoring someone, you should plan to stay full time for good-you'll get much fruther ahead. I know that any social assistance or child support defaults will make you unavailable to sponsor. It may be worth paying a small counsiltation fee to an immigration lawyer to see-it's usually about 50-100$
