So ridiculous!!
I called cic regarding my pr card since it has been 2mths after I landed and I got no or card.

After a long wait on phone, said my case has been transferred to further verifications on Dec 19, and if there no problems,I will get my pr card in 16weeks from the date of Dec 19,that means apr

I asked Why They said it's just a quality control and I'm randomly selected..

Anyone has the same experience?

Dont worry. You will receive your PR card eventually, it's just a random check.

Pls see the following link:

As advised by other members, you need not to worry. Our case was also under " verification process " and it took us approximately 130 days to receive PR for the whole family.

Quality control??? What for??? Its not like its a chocolate factory

After we updated CIC of our mailing address, we waited about 2 or 3 months before calling them. When we called, we were told that the PR Card app was in review and we would receive an update in the next XX weeks (I don't remember exactly how long they said it would take0>
However, we actually received our cards within a week or so after that phone call.

Just wait until you get a PR, there is not much you can do about it.

This delay is nothing but the result of downsizing and laying off, on contract, no benefit and temporary employees. The people in charge of processing your PR card also works at the local butcher shop, drives a taxi at night and works as a security guard on the weekend. So there is no fulltime job for them and so really no sense of urgency to process your card

A forum member received his PR Card exactly after 55 days of landing in Canada.
:D

let them (cic) do their work. you will eventually get your PR card. sometimes it is faster sometimes people face delays. Btw relax you wont be needing you PR card for anything except your personal satisfaction. you already have a COPR which is more than enoff todo everything you need in canada as a permanent resident. you are already a permanent resident of canada what else do you need. :)
