Liberals are really showing signs of inept with inability pass C-6, RQs and 'Secondary Reviews' lingering for years. PR applications thrown into dark room called "Secondary Review" are taking more time to process than under Conservative.

They won't commit deadlines/windows for processing PR renewals and Citizenship applications which can be thrown in dark room for years, but Minister Monreau got guts to announce:

"Set a two-week standard for processing visas and work permits ..."

http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/politics/fall-economic-update-bill-morneau-1.3831080

So, if a standard can be set for a person who is not even residing in country(less verifications and more room for fraud), why cannot standards be set for citizenship applications and PR card renewals. 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years, something!!!

It's a shame 2 weeks can be comitted to work permits(can't there be fraud in those cases, verifications??), but people already here are lingering in Secondary reviews, RQs for years and years.

Yes, remember their actions in 2019. There are unemployed kids and Citizens, and PRs who are already here and their focus is on bringing people faster here who are not even here. They seemingly cant verify if a person has stayed here 2 out of 5 years quickly but they seemingly can verify TFWs within 2 weeks to give them a work permit. The kids protested just last week because Bill Morneau was telling them to get used to temp jobs and this is their response.

It is about excuse and scoring political points - just like when they set the target for number of refugees to bring in, they were able to bring in tens of thousands of people without much documentation within just a few months, but when it comes to people living in Canada with easily trackable record, they would drag the process for as long as they want

Liberals are doing drama of "artificially" reducing times by throwing applications into Secondary Reviews because they are not tracked, and thereby decreasing average processing times.

Secondary review PR applications are now taking 18+ months and they were taking 12 months under Conservatives.

I have emailed PM to have a "Deadline" for PR renewal/Citizenship application approval. If they can commit 2 weeks for someone living abroad, they can do so for those living inside Canada already.
