so long!!! Open Work Permit...

Hi!

I couldnt find any situation like me, so i want to hear some comments from your guys.

I applied for Open Work Permit for spouse on April 15th through the Web when I had TRV permit, which expired the end of May. Now, I left Canada and am waiting for the result.

I got some messages like need of a statement of wife's employ contract and a proof of marriage, so I attached.
But, CIC havent sent the result yet.

My wife is working in Canada with PGWP permit under Cate A.or B(professionally).


I am worried because it has been 2+1/2 months already since I applied.

Anyone had an experience like this???

Open Work Permit for dependent............ Why it is getting delayed??? help

Can anybody help out please help out me with some info..

My wife had applied for Open work permit on 7 May 13 at VFS mumbai, it was told her that she will receive the OWP within 15 Business days, but till date (01 Jul) she is not received anything. We are trying to get the info about application where it is struck but no response from VFS as well as CHC. I am frusted and not sure how long it will take. can anybody tell me which day or month application is currently processing?? how long do it will take more?

There is a strike going on right now. Visas are taking longer than expected to be processed. This is posted on CIC's website.

Hope everything is fine in your case and you will hear a positive reponce form the CHC.
since there is strike going on in the ND CHC , the processisng of the applications is delayed.usually the site says the time for 2 months , so u should hear very soon.
Can you please keep me posted as i am also on the same boat and i am going to apply SOWP for my spouce in september.
