Hi All Forum Members,

I did my landed on 10th March with my Wife and daughter through Toronto, I must thank to all the valuable inputs received from this forum to make my landing experience pretty smooth. As of today:

1. Submitted COPR on landing, got our passport stamped,
2. Received our SIN no.
3. Opened up our Bank account at TD Bank

We have taken up a place in downtown temporarily, and now currently looking out for work.

Dear forum members as usual could you please shed some light on finding job, or the best way to reach out to recruiters. All suggestions are most welcomed.

Thanks Everyone !!!

You'll first have to tell about your profession, number of years of experience, etc. If you are in IT or any other profession for that matter, I would highly recommend that you create/update your LinkedIn profile and start looking for jobs through LinkedIn. A lot of people underestimate the value of LinkedIn when it comes to finding job. It's a very powerful tool and it's free so there is nothing to lose.

Welcome to Canada and Good Luck for future!!

Hi Chappan,

Thanks for your reply, I am finance professional holding master's degree with 11 years of work exp. Actually I have a decent profile in LinkedIn as well and did contacted many recruiters. Largely it's is said that profile is fine just that I don't have Canadian experience thus may not fit.

Just wondering unless somebody gives a work how can I get Canadian exp. :o

Thanks

This is a catch-22 situation.
How can one assemble Canadian experience without getting a job first?

Try an unpaid internship if you are financially stable.

Yea. But, but that's rarely the case for more than 95%.
