Small Mistake while filling in Background Declaration Details

Hi,

I sent out application(FSW) to CIO office this week. After sending I realized that there is small mistake in the details provided. My studies were till June, 2000 but in the form I filled January, 2000. Also the job which started immediately after studies I wrote starting Jan, 2000 where as it was June, 2000. Whereas in the education details it is shown correctly that my studies are ending in June,2000. This can cause an issue in my total point which I would get for my Masters degree.

I want to know that how much it could affect my application. Does CIO understand these small mistakes? I am even not sure that they will be able to catch it. What others suggest in such a case?
Thanks

Perhaps someone can say whether CIO checks for points or only for ministerial requirement.
Yes this is good question. What is others experience? CIO takes application from all over the world and should be a very busy office. Scrutinizing all applications to this level should be difficult. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Also has anybody experienced such a situation? Should I send the amended documents again?

Priyankaa, you should check OP6. I have seen the document before and completely forgot about it and recently came across it again. It really has a lot of information. I think it does say that at CIO stage, they only check for ministerial requirements, but you should read through it just to make sure.

Hi,
In background declaration, Q: 10 education & Q: 11 Personal history, are the same dates fro education mentioned for those two questions?

What dates have you entered in schedule 3, economic class, for work experiences? Is this different from dates in personal history?
If there are any differences in the dates, then that may be an issue. if not, you application will be processed and hopefully, you iwll get your points.
Good luck

Q10 Education - Correct - Master Ending June 2000
Q11 Personal History - Incorrect - Masters Ending - January 2000 and Job Starting January 2000
Schedule 3- Incorrect - Job Starting January 2000 - Should be June 2000
So what you guys suggest. Do they send queries as well? Or they just reject the application? How can I correct?

Q10 Education - Correct - Master Ending June 2000- So this is alright
Q11 Personal History - Incorrect - Masters Ending - January 2000 and Job Starting January 2000- I am sure this is one of the questions CIC really focus on. they are going to find out this mistake.Schedule 3- Incorrect - Job Starting January 2000 - Should be June 2000- the same with this question. they will find this out too.So what you guys suggest. Do they send queries as well? Or they just reject the application? How can I correct? See, education and work experiences are two of the most scrutinized sections thr appication in order to assess your points. So they will find out this.
when did you send your application out?

This week only.
if it was by courier, you could probably hold the package by calling the courier company and get it returned. But I dont think you have time now. I guess contacting CIO will only make things even complicated. I had also mistake in address and phone number in my initial application. But there wasnt any issue. I do not know if sending a new application rightaway to CIO would be wise enough, supposing that it will reach CIO nearly with other application. Let's wait for seniors suggestions.

Nope. As advised by you waiting for others/seniors to reply. But you know my points would still be above 67.
I am considering few things two things - They can either reduce my education by 1 year or my experience by 1 year.
In OP6 document it says that if the person is having Masters but have completed only 16 years of education then consider 22 points instead of 25. So I gets 22. This will not make a difference for me as I am still above the 67. Also if they reduce the exp by 1 year it does not make a difference bcoz it is about 9 years and to score full I have to have only 4 years. My main concern is that because of error/mistake they should not reject the application or delay it.

Hi,
No I do not think that your application will get rejected just because of that small mistake. I am sure your application will be fine as you will still score over 67 points.
Good luck

Nothing to worry :), they don't calculate points, NS people only check for ministerial instructions 8)

Rectify theses mistake in ur 2nd application(sent along with full documents to CHC), give these minor details in cover letter. They don't care about such small typos.
