Skilled trade or CEC class?

Hello everyone,

I am a bit confused as I don't know what category I'm in.

I have a year of work experience as a painter in Canada (NOC group 72) but I don't know if I am in the CEC or Skilled trade or both.


If I am in the skilled trade class, it looks like I need an LMIA to be elible because of the recent changes regarding the valid job offer definition.

Has anyone been accepted in the CEC class as a painter before?
