Good day guys,

I am working on open work-permit and my score is 448 right now, after 1 and half years of current experience in Canada. while creating express entry profile under work tab there is SKill Trade Eligibility criteria which i don't have it right now but for curiosity when i said yes there it shows my NOC code . I did bit of research for ontario and figured that my field doesn't have mandatory skill trade certification requirement. However it does boost up points if i say yes. Does any one know or share more information about Skill Trades for Ontario province and How does it works ? Look forward for your views.

Regards,
Harsh

This thing is only for trade occupations like Electrician, Plumbers or Car Mechanic. Sometimes they called Red Seal certificate.

You need to check with the College of trade in your corresponding province. They have a list of occupations that they give the Certification to. Additionally, you need to pass a test (examination) to achieve that

So does that mean , for IT Technicians we can't earn points from Skill Trade ?

IT Tech positions are not skill trade. Read more here:

Thank you for advice gents ! I will still check with Skill Trade colleges. Appreciate your help. Have a good day.
