Situation change - added dependents ater P1

I have recevied P1 and I came to know between application submission and now that I have a child from a previous relationship (partner estranged but now in contact since I have applied). I now want to add the child as a biological child. There is option of adding undeclared family members such as newborns and adopted children as per their email. Has anyone ever added an undeclared child at this stage? My name is not on the birth certificate or any other legal document? If declared initially would have gone through. But now will I be penalised for misrepresentation and jeopardise my PR? Should I wait , mother is skilled worker and capable of coming on her own. Also, she has stated she may not want to come in the first place.

Yes you should add the child but include an explanation that you only recently became aware of the child. I would expect to be required to take a DNA test.
