SINP work permit is expiring in 2 weeks - Seniors please advise

Friends..I am in big trouble, I applied for SINP under 6 months, 960 hours cateogry back on October 29, 2012 but still have not received my file number yet. My work permit is expiring on 6th of december in about 2 weeks and my employer just been able to post the position with SINP today. My employer registered with SINP on 25th september 2012 and got login id and passward on same day but somehow due to procedural delay, my job was not posted on time as SINP was doing background check and was not responding on my employer's phone calls. I work as an Accounting analyst in Regina for about 6 months, I also went to SINP office last week for my situation and asked them what I can do else, I told them I work at Tim Hortons as well and my owner at Tims has already given me employment letter of full time as well as position approval form, but they said I am better to keep working as an Accountant and they also said i would get an email from SINP in 2 days but I haven't heard from them anything yet. I told SINP staff that many students have been nominated only because of their work permit were about to expire well inside 20 days of submission of their application, but I am getting feeling that they are treating my case differently than rest.

I have applied for work permit extension already but I know without SINP approval I can't get my extension...I am just wondering have I made biggest mistake of my life by not submitting application on behalf of Tim Hortons, when I had all documents with me....Seniors please advise, I am running out of time and luck...All my hard work and efforts are sliping away quickly. Have all doors shut for me ? I guess I need miracle.

If you don't hear anything by next week talk to your local MLA. They know who to call to make things move forward.

Hey JCS..Thanks for your message. Can you please let me know from where can I find list of MLAs in Regina area ? I heard so that many students have approached to their respective MLA in tight situation.

Friends...any clue what should I do ? I am running out of time ...as only 4 days left in my current work permit, I contacted local MLA and spoke regarding my case and situation, they contacted SINP for my case and I got call from SINP 3 days back, they are saying current processing time is 4 to 6 months and I can't be guaranteed to get approval before my work permit expires, I even don't have my file number...I am just stressed out as I don't know what to do now. I have seen and heard many cases have been processed withing 1-2 weeks only becuase of validity of their work permit, how come SINP taking mine in different way.

What kind of work permit do you have? A closed work permit with your company on an LMO or some kind of working holiday visa?

I have Post graduate work permit for 1 year, which is expiring on 6th december, 2012. However, I have applied for extension already, but it will buy me few more days only, I must have SINP approval in order to get new closed work permit.

did you apply in work permit category under skilled worker? If yes they might get it through on time if not than it can take a while. Too bad your MLA couldn't help. Sorry to say that but I don't think that you can do anything if your nomination doesn't come through soon.

Hey JCS, I applied in International students category on Post graduate work permit as I heard they take much longer in skilled workers category, I contacted MLA, I don't think they could do much either.
