SINP OID education field

Hi All,
For SINP OID/EE, do one has to possess education is same field as mentioned in NOC/in-demand skill list. I have B Tech Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years experience as software engineering so can I apply under NOC 2173 (Software Engineer) with degree in Mechanical Engineering?

Do a B Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering will create a problem while applying for NOC 217(Software Engineer) for SINP? As both fields are different.

You rightly mentioned Education & Work experience are distinctly different things. You can certainly apply with relevant experience and certification requirement and justifying the work responsibilities. There would be no problem.

My work experience falls under 2123 agricultural consultant but my education is in media science.
I was sent NOI .
Should I submit my application or not? The education is not relevant to work experience at all
