Updating the SINP program is enough.

Thank you for your reply. One more question if IRCC approves my permanent residency before updating the JAL to sinp. Do i still need to update the JAL or not??
I don’t think they will approve your application without the new JAL. Given the new employer you are required to submit a new JAL or else you would be misrepresenting your JAL which could have serious consequences.

The exact same situation? When did this happen? IRCC was approving everything at one point and now they actually verify things which they should have done from the start. He should have still submitted it because if his case is reviewed during citizenship or for another reason like random quality control or related to another person’s fraud investigation that still could be viewed as misrepresentation. If you never want to have issues with IRCC make sure all your applications are both correct and complete.
