Dear respected organizers and members of this forum/

My PR application is in progress. Applied in Jan 2012 (Msc/Phd category)-Got nomination in May 2012- Sent to CIC sydney in July 2012- Medicals done in october- Medical results updated in November- PPR ??

I am planning to getting married in April or May 2013. This is an arranged marriage-no living together or no engagement or no register marriage yet.

What is the best way to bring her in immediately after marriage? Please say whether the following will work. I am assuming I will not get PR within that time.

1. Get a study visa for her before marriage. Bring her in and then update the information with CIC. Will she be allowed at the port of entry?

2. Get a visitor visa for her before marriage. Bring her in and then update the information with CIC. Will she be allowed at the port of entry?

3. What happens if she does not get both of them before marriage? I know she can't apply for a visitor visa after marriage. Can she keep applying for study visas after marriage? But as soon as the marriage is done I would have updated that information with CIC.

4. Can she get a dependent visa after marriage? Is there something like that, first of all? From what I have read, If I have a PR in progress or have a PR or citizenship, she cant get a dependent visa. Does she have to come only with a PR?

5. If I come back after marriage, add her into the file, and wait for PR, it will take another 1-1.5 years (for me and also for her). What if she is not interested in getting a PR?

6. What if I postpone my marriage till I get a PR? Would it make a difference?

Please help as I have to answer my in-laws!! Also other ideas welcome.

Thanks.
