What problems will a single mother of 2 children face in Canada. Is it reasonable to allow one's wife to stay in Canada with the kids alone. How can she cope with the kids and her work. Can she work with the kids. One is 2years. The other is 10month. Are daycares available. Will Govt support be adequate for daycare, since they are too small for school.

Please landed seniors advice.

>>> For a single parent, it is always a problem in managing 2 kids with a job or without a job. The problem would be same everywhere in the world and for everyone.

>> Canada is a safe place for everyone. Reasonable or not reasonable is to be decided by you only and others have no role in it. You have to see what is approprate for your family.

How can she cope with the kids and her work. Can she work with the kids. One is 2years. The other is 10month.
>> This should be better judged by your spouse only, as to if she can drop at the kids centre, work and on way back pick up the kids and then carry it on day to day basis .

>>> Day care centres are available but the Govt will not pay for that. There is a very long que for getting govt grants for day care facality.

Wish the children were a bit older, say ages 5 & above. But I support Explorer101's submission/advice - it depends on your wife. With her determination and strong will she can do it though I learnt that daycare over there could be expensive.

I wish you God's guidance on it. Cheers.

Daycare are expensive, even baby sitting.

Most people will rather opt for nursing the kids till they are a bit older before starting work so as to send them to school immediately since most public schools are quite cheap, while they are supported by the husband or stay close to a relation who has a baby sitter or is not working to look after the children while away.

It can be quite challenging at a start, but things gradually sort out themselves as times go. Look at various option before releasing her and the kids alone to canada and choose which is best for you.

As said earlier, her determination matters and your support will also go along way to boost her morale.

All the best.
