Single Entry Visa to apply a MULTIPLE eNTRY Visa

I have a single entry visa landed already in canada and went back to my country of residence , I am planning now to apply a MULTIPLE ENTRY Visa
What would be my chances to get the approval of Multiple Entry?

I had my first visa single entry, when I applied for the second time I was in your situation, but still applied single entry, and got it

now I am back home

Currently i'm in Canada and i'm Canadian work permit holder. On the February I applied for single entry TRV within from Canada, and still waiting.
the question is : Can i go to my home country and then come back to Canada with single entry TRV ?

1 thing is : this single entry TRV hasn't ever used to enter Canada, because I applied from within Canada .

if you are inside Canada, I recommend you to call CIC and explain your situation, they will help you a lot about that.

Hi,
Entry visas allow you "entry" to the country of destination and will be checked upon entering the country at immigration/border crossing points. It does not matter from where you applied the entry visa - it is significant only upon entering/re-entering the country and needs to be presented then.

I will assume here you applied for a re-entry visa via Ottawa? Then you can exit the country, take a vacation and return back. The single entry visa will allow you to re-enter the country after your vacation and will be invalid after its use (single entry). If you want to travel out of the country again and will return, you have to get a new visa to re-enter.
