Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone could give me advice on my status. I have single entry visa to Canada but I have visitor permit until next year. Could I leave Canada to go Seattle and when I come back to Canada. Would I be able to ask the Canadian broader to issue me the multiple entry visa again?

A single entry visa allows you to enter Canada only once. This visa may also be used for repeated entries
into Canada from the USA or St. Pierre and Miquelon provided you do not enter another country. Such
entries must occur within the time validated for your stay in Canada. For example, you may be given six
months from the date you enter Canada at the port of entry.

As long as you do no exit the US to another country, you can come back again within the validity of your allowed visit to Canada.

Wow, good point, thanks for pointing it out. I didn't realize you could go to the US.

But if you need a visa for Canada, you probably need one to enter the US too (unless you are a USA resident; you don`t mention that).
