The official end date of my Program of study is 31 Dec and I applied for a bridge extension earlier. I received the extension last week. I am yet to receive a physical copy of the extended study permit. I plan to apply for PGWP as soon as I get official documents from the University next month. My SIN also expires on 31 Dec. Do I need to renew the SIN according to the expiry date of my extended SP or if I apply for PGWP and start working will it be fine?

Once you get the copy of the extended Study Permit, apply to extend the validity of your SIN number. Or go to ServiceCanada with the physical copy of the extended study permit to get it done. The validity of the SIN is attached to your initial study permit, so the validity will expire on 31st Dec.

After you file for PGWP, it is approved and you get the physical copy, you need to apply for SIN again.

Thank you for your reply. It has been more than a week since approval and I have not received the physical SP document. So, am I eligible to work on PGWP maintained status if I apply for PGWP when my SP was valid but SIN was not. In case I don't get the renewed SP physical document by the time I apply for PGWP?

I don't understand your question. If you apply for PGWP when your study permit is valid, you can continue working with the same SIN. You need to get it renewed after your PGWP is approved.
