Hello Everyone,

I am Harsh from INDIA, I did BSC IT from Sikkim Manipal University 2003-2006 (Distance Education ) and did MSC in Network Technology and Management from Amity University ( 2007-2009 )

I have given my educational documents for evaluation to WES and still waiting for the result.... Can you please tell me if my degrees are valid and how many points will i get ?

I am really worried and confused after reading the Online forums.

I cant say for sure but maybe yours will be equivalent to 2 or more post secondary diploma which may give you 22 points.

Since you have already submitted for WES - just hang on.

True there has been 1 known case for Amity Univ that i know of and 1 close friend of mine whose MCA was not recognized from SMU.

I am sorry but the only way to find this out for yourself is to either go with the WES eval or find someone on this forum who has been rejected due to this. You can try a search on the top right corner of the page.

You could also go for the free WES evaluation online and see if that gives you anything concrete.

Hi,

U might get non-recognized institution status for SMU credential, as its not in the WES list.

I am sorry.......SMU & Amity both are not in the WES list.

There is a forum member who has been able to get his Amity degree recognized by sending WES a letter from the registrar's office.

Follow my last posts and look for a thread named ECA. You will find it and then search for the member in the thread (its a short thread). You can PM him for further help.

Hi,

I am sorry no one can modify the policies of the designated agencies for ECA in Canada even u pay to the expert for guide. Yes your University SMU and even Amity is non-recognized in any agency in Canada.

I am sorry you are not qualify for the FSWP.
But why u depressed you have alternate route to get the Permanent Presidency of Canada.

1) Why don't you think about Quebec Skilled Workers Category, there is no such mandatory requirement of ECA.

2) Why don't you think about Nova Scotia Regional Labour Market Demand without Job offer category, there is no such mandatory requirement of ECA (They might ask if they required). Nova Scotia process is very slow and they stop taking new applications now....you can try in January 2015.

3) Try to focus on Saskatchewan Immigration program also.

Above are my personal opinions, rules might be different....Confirm with the official web sites.
