Signature Dates on Forms, etc.

This may seem like a silly question (most likely is!) but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this previously. Due to delays, my forms and letters of support from family/friends and the like have been signed and dated from December 2009 to February 2010. I will not be sending out my application until probably July. I know the medical exam is 12 months, police clearances 3 months and required photos 6 months but I am unsure about other documents expiration dates (like the letter from employer? Ours is dated in January 2010 I believe.)

the only problem you will encounter will be the date on the forms themselves.

the signatures on the forms cannot be more than 90 days prior to the date CPC-M or CPC-V receives them. the entire package will be returned to you without any evaluation.

as for employer letters or letters from friends and family etc. its fine as long as they are originals!

How did you find out that the signatures can't be older than 90 days?

Also, I didn't know that we had to submit original's of letters of support. I was just going to include copies.

I work in Immigration and have had applications in the past returned for FSW, Sponsorship and Citizenship applications if the forms weere signed too long ago...there is a general rule CIC states for signatures:

"Your application will be returned to you if:

* the form is not signed and dated,
* stale-dated (dated more than 90 days before CIC receives it),
* post-dated (dated into the future)."


As for the letters, it is not required but if you are able to provide originals I strongly recommend it!

I had read this somewhere too that signs shouldnt be from a very early date. cant remember the time. why dont u ring them and ask. just be sure otherwise its goona be such a pain if they send you the package back to you mate. good luck

Hello Friends, I am trying to upload a form imm5709 for a study permit but it says: The form could not be submitted because errors were found. It says to be sure new version from a website but it is new and I signed and dated it, all is fine.
