SHOW MONEY FOR TRV

Hi all,

My grand father will sponsor me for a 5 day trip in ontario. Does he really need to show the 6 month history of his bank account? or and bank certificate will do. I have provided mine with 6 months history(my personal account).

Hi,

The host can only invite a visitor (for TRVs). So, you must not use words like *sponsor*. And, for yourself, do not use words like *I want to reside/live/stay in Canada*.

For TRVs, it is up to the host if s/he wants to provide any financial documents. The visitor must prove that s/he has the finances to pay for her/his visit and airfare.

1-2 months bank statement will be fine, if your grand father wants to provide one

There is a question on the application form that says "How much fund available for the trip?"
My grandfather made an affidavit of support and presented his bank certification. Will i be basing it on his bank account or my own personal account? thanks

Hi,

You must state the liquid finances/not locked-in funds which you have in your bank account as funds available for your visit
