Hello guys.
Suggestions are requested from forum members.
We have received PPR and passports have been dispatched for visa stamping. We are expecting baby in mid of Jan 2018. Apparently we have 4 options to choose from. I have also mentioned pros and cons for all four options.
1. Go to canada immediately and give birth there
Pro : Baby would be citizen by birth.
Cons : The winters and no relatives in new country would be a challenge. Also we would have to land in Alberta as Ontario or British Columbia do not provide medical coverage from first day. However, apparently the finance related job condition in Alberta is not encouraging and we might be stuck for 6 months in that province, for availing the medical coverage.
2. We both do soft landing and return to our home country.
Pro : Wont have to go through the hassle of adding baby after birth and going through the PPR process again
Cons : The travel in pregnancy and the travel/stay costs.
3. We both land in Canada, wife comes to home country and I stay there. After getting a job etc call family to Canada.
Pro : Delivery at home country. And I might start job search process sooner.
Cons : The absence at the time of birth of our first child. A social cost.
4. Wait for baby delivery in home country, add baby to profile, get visa for family and then go to Canada.
Pro: We get more time to plan and then move to Canada in a more prepared manner.
Cons : The time delay. We 'll have to add baby to our profile, receive PPR etc again and visa process. If the whole process get delayed we might have to re-take medicals as our medicals will expire in August 2018.
Which options seems most plausible?
Thanks.
