Should spouse has to go through IELTS

I applied for a job in Canada and now i am preparing for IELTS . I want to take my wife along with my 5 years old son with me to Canada .I am planning for an express entry immigration . Do my wife also has to pass IELTS ? I am putting this because she is very poor in English . She hardly understand English .
