Hi guys,
I submitted an application online in Canada to extend my OWP on August 5, 2012 with my old passport which is expiring in the end of October 2012. Couple weeks later, I received my new passport so I sent CIC a copy of my new passport right away. However, they replied me by email saying that they cannot forward my new passport info to the responsible office to update my application after I submitted it. They also said that the responsible office may make the decision based on what I have provided initially so there is a chance that they will refuse my application.
Now they give me 2 options:
1. Leave it as it is and wait until the office makes the decision as they may request a copy of my new passport.
2. Withdraw and apply again so they will receive the most updated info.
My current OWP expires on the same day as my old passport. Should I withdraw and re-apply again? If I choose to reapply, do I still have enough time to receive my new OWP? I only have less than 2 months of time...
Please advise.
Thanks in advance!
Ricky
