Should I travel to Bangalore to get my PCC instead of with BLS? I'm in Toronto.

Can anyone who got their PCC recently tell me how long the PCC process took them through BLS-Toronto (start to finish)? I'm in Toronto now.

I'm seriously considering going to India in August to get the PCC (I have an overseas trip before that, so I can't give up my passport to BLS before August). And I have another international work trip in September, for which I'll need my passport...so I have 4 "free" weeks in August that I can use up to get my PCC, either through BLS or through my trip to India.

Is it safe to just use BLS and pray everything will get back to be in 10 days or so (as I've read on some posts)? Or should I make the trip to Bangalore, and hopefully get it then and there?

Even then, I'm not sure how to get the PCC in Bangalore, as I don't have any family/neighbors there, and have not lived there since moving to Canada (though the address on my passport in my Bangalore address).

Any help would be really appreciated.

I got PCC for my folks in Vancouver, twice - in 5 days ( but it wasn't BLS that time ), it all depends if Consulate has the info handy - but yeah you don't need to go to India, it will take way longer there

I applied in the BLS Vancouver office for PCC and I received by passport in 5 weeks. But beware that I know some cases in which it has been delayed. You can always get it from Bangalore if you want, that will not matter either.

In India u will get PCC on the same day in the passport office.

Buddy, would recommend you get your PCC from INDIA.
