I'm currently doing the final courses my program. Also applied for a study permit extension.
Here's the problem. If I pass all the courses, then I'll have completed the requirements. However if I have to repeat a course, then I'll have to register for it for the next semester. My college has a non-refundable deposit which all international students have to pay to register in courses (the deposit is a part of the tuition). In the past this wasn't a problem because I always needed to register for courses for the upcoming semester. But now I'm not sure if I'll have to.
Which means that if I don't have to repeat courses, then that deposit (which is a large sum of money) will be a complete waste since I cannot refund it.
Has anyone else been in this situation? What did you do?
Here's one option and I'm wondering if its possible. Should I just see how my current courses go, and then if I have to repeat a course, I'll skip the next semester and register for the semester after that? Will IRCC accept that as an option? Or will they say that its an unecessary waste of time? Will it affect PGWP eligibility?
