Ok so here's my situation, im from South America but moved with my mom to a Caribbean Island where we live and have work permits for. Ive been saving up for a trip to Canada because i need work done on my eyes. I have extreme eyebags which got worst along with other aging complication because of working too hard to save. The time i had enough money to apply for a Visa i kept hearing how strict the Visa process is and how they keep asking for assets. I don't have a car or home neither does my mom, but we have no intensions of starting over and moving to Canada heard is just too cold and mom is over 60. I have over 30K US dollars in my bank account and want to know if that is sufficient to cover for the enough assets financial rejection that seems so prominent now. I was thinking a medical route whereby i can get the plastic surgeon to send some kind of proof that im going there for surgery, however i just wanna do it right the first time so i dont get rejected and then its harder to prove yourself the second try. Additionally i kept changing jobs recently so i can get my work permit for this country so i can live here and have been working online for like the last 3 years so i dont have a solid say 3 years job history with one job, between that time ive worked around 2. However i do in the the years before that. I heard of this great Lawyer that goes all out to help people but his work is like with people with crime backgrounds and so on but he does do visitor visas. His rate is $2000 CAN to help me and my mom get a visa but im really not trying to spend as the money is so small already for my surgeries. Please looking for some professional advise on what you think i should do.
