Should I get a PCC if I spend less than 183 days in 4 year block, but more than 183 days in total

Hi All,

I am about to apply for my citizenship and I had this question. I was living in Netherlands (not my country of origin) from April 2013 before I landed in Canada in 15-Sep-2017. I am planning to sign my Citizenship application on 30-June-2021. So my understanding is that in the past 4 year block i.e. from 30-June-2017 to 30-June-2021 I have not spend 183 days in Netherlands and do not need a PCC from that country. Is my assumption true ? Should I include a PCC (getting is a pain) because i was spending more than 183 days before I left to Canada, but outside the 4 year block ?

Your statement is correct that you don't need to provide any PCC if you are signing application on June 30 2021.

Prior to landing in Canada on PR, I believe you did you provided PCC for Netherlands, is that correct?

Thanks for your reply @navid2014. Yes I did give my PCC for Netherlands prior to landing as part of the PR process.
