I have shown 2 years of Canadian work experience in my Express Entry profile. I completed 2 years with my Canadian company on Jan 5, 2025, and I received an ITA on Jan 24, 2025.
However, in 2024, I was in India for 6 weeks—3 weeks were paid vacation, and for the remaining 3 weeks, I worked remotely from India. I understand that the time worked from outside Canada does not count as Canadian experience.
Since IRCC considers work experience up until the submission of the eAPR (lock-in date), should I wait 3-4 weeks and submit my eAPR toward the end of February to ensure that I meet the full 2-year requirement? Or would IRCC assess my experience only up until the date of my ITA?
Would appreciate any insights from those who have been in a similar situation. Thanks!
