Hi,

I and my husband are applying for the express entry immigration this year. However, we are confused about who should become the primary applicant. Some information about both of our profiles.

Mine:

Ielts score: Overall 7
Listening: 6.5
Reading:7
Writing:7
Speaking: 6.5
Qualification: Postgraduate in Marketing
Work Exp in India: 6+ years in Marketing
Age: 31 years
No job offer letter from Canada

Husband:

Ielts score: Overall 7.5
Listening: 8
Reading:7
Writing:6.5
Speaking: 8
Qualification: B.Tech Graduate
Work Exp in India: 2+ years as a business analyst
Age: 26 years
No job offer letter from Canada

Please suggest, who should become the primary applicant. Also, if the dependent gets the job offer first will it help in increasing the score?

Regards,

I think you should go to the online crs tool and enter data, once as you being pa and once as your spouse being pa. Whoever gets higher crs should go for it.

I tried and almost getting the same score. Also, when I tried consulting the agencies, they are suggesting me to become a primary applicant for different reasons. I am confused now.

You have masters which adds lot of points to CRS score, however your spouse is younger so that adds lot of points to the CRS if he is primary.
But both of you have got less in IELTS, it is important to get 8777 in LWRS and that person should be the primary.

Make yourselves as primary and apply under Nova Scotia PNP under NOC 1123. Good Luck

Maybe I missed it but I do not see anywhere in your posts the scores you or your husband achieved.

Whoever gets the highest score. If both under 440 look into PNP.
