Hey everyone, (asking for a family friend)
I'm in Canada on TRV and my passport expires in July 2023. To avoid exiting the country, I am planning to apply for a visitor record. And, I plan to renew my passport in Canada before it expires.
My questions are:
1) What do I apply for first? The new passport or the visitor record?
2) Will my current visit visa be considered active once I renew my passport?
3) Do I skip applying for the visitor record and apply for a new visitor visa on a new passport while in Canada without exiting?
