Hi all,
This is my 1st time to post in here, I will appreciate answers, please.
I have a Canadian PR, and been in Canada without leaving the country for 3.5 years and therefore eligible for Canadian Citizenship. However, I got US greencard 2 months ago and had to leave Canada in a hurry without applying for a canadian citizenship.
1---Can I apply for Canadian citizenship?
2---Question 6 D on the application form, a question asks if I am a permanent resident of another country, If i say Yes, is this a problem?
3--- Will it be complicated if I cross the border?
Anyone in this same situation?
Thank you, have a great day.

Hey Layali,

Sorry for late answer. I missed your post for almost 11 years! Poouff! Pretty busy with life and work etc.

1) Yes, you can apply.
2 ) Nope, it won't be a problem. Be honest with Canada. There is nothing wrong if you can be a permanent resident of another country. We can use your service later so you're welcome to apply citizenship.
3) Nope, it won't be.

You too have a great day buddy!
