Hi,

My wife's interview is at the end of June but her medical will be over a year old by that time. Should she just redo the medical even without instructions to this effect from the visa office? She emailed them but they did not answer that specific question.

Thanks.

No they did not ask for a re-do but from what I've heard, medicals expire after a year of taking them, and another forum member noted that he re-took his medical prior to the interview which saved him 6 weeks of processing time as they asked for a new medical at the interview anyways...

I have emailed the CIC about my situation and they have told me I can re-do my medical. They didn't provide me any forms or anything. I just simply went to DMP and he has done my medical. After interview they have requested for the passport very simple. They never asked me to re-do medical. One more thing it takes up to 2 months to get the result from reviews.

visa cannot be issued without a valid medical, they will ask at the interview if approved for medical to be redone, or as you have stated you can be proactive and redo one.......if it were me i would redo it once it has expired it will save you time if you are approved

hey everyone...

I need some advice here...

My husband's medical expires September 14, 2010 and his interview is scheduled for August 10, 2010 (CIC London, interview in Stockholm, Sweden)

do you recommend that he schedules another one? We were thinking maybe have it at the beginning of September or late August....?

any thoughts...............?

doesn't make sense to reschedule it. best to get it done asap. should redo medical not to delay the process
