Hi I was wondering if you could help
I am in the process of applying for PR outbound through spousal sponsorship. I am from uk my partner is Canadian citizen from birth.
We both have been living in the UK for two years and recently moved back to BC i am here on a temporary visitor visa until my PR comes through.
We want to ship out item however this is the problem. All of my partners belonging can be shipped without paying duty and tax as they are personal effects and he has been out of the country for two years.
However what happens about my belonging like cloths etc. As i do not have my PR this does not apply for me. I know i can send my items as temp visitor but from my research i think i may have to then leave with the items again.
Also i have only just been made aware of this and so i am already residing in canada and i did not declare on my landing card that i had items to follow and what they where.
Does this mean that we will not be able to send all our items together.
Any help would or advice would be great
Thanks
