Shipping 20ft container from India to Toronto

Has anyone shipped household stuff from India to Canada?
What has been the experience? Any tips?

And are there good shipping/relocation companies you can recommend?
I have a 20ft container worth of furniture and personal stuff that I want to bring over. I had declared this in goods to follow form when I did my landing 1+ years back. Now thinking of bringing it over.

Unless the furniture is very expensive(In Lakhs) I wouldnt recommend shipping furniture from India to Canada. You can try to sell it in India and buy something new here. Firstly shipping is going to more expensive then actual worth of furniture. Secondly your current house in canda might not accomadate all the furniture from India.
