You can get admission in universities in Canada without IELTS but you might have to do a English language course at the university which if you don't pass they send you back to your country.

My advice take IELTS it is very easy and will also help you with visa as they can have a proof of English and your desire to study.

thank you for the reply, yes in some part ielts is easy but since I am not good at speaking and always a shy type, ill choke for sure when it comes to speaking, how sure you are that they will ask me to take English language course? and if just incase I don't pass they will not allow me to enroll again? just getting the worst case scenario. are you also applying?

also the school says they have the exempted list for ielts which means if your country is exempted you don't need to take ielts exam... also I want to save money.

So if you are not confident at speaking English in the first place how would you expect to contribute or participate in any classes, just asking ? Colleges want people to participate hence their English language requirements given it would not be fair on other attendees being held up due to some participants not being very confident with English language.

It's not necessary to do ur ielts, I have submitted my application without the ielts but earlier I got conditional acceptance letter and was required to do either English assessment test from the same college I applied in or do ielts, since I was already in canada so I chose to give English assessment test which I passed and later on got the firm letter (non conditional letter) which I submitted with my application. And yes my country of residence is UAE , I'm from Dubai!

Regarding to that matter, for your information I already select a course that is very similar to my previous course and working field, so answering to the class will not be a big problem coz I already have experienced and knowledge.

Hello Faroosan, thank you for the information, but just incase you didn't pass the assessment? what will be the consequence? coz I also plan to take 6months English class if they will allow me to take together with my course. is it ok to get your information? email or facebook? because I am really struggling with the procedure and having too much questions in my head. hope you can help me. thanks, btw I am here also in Dubai, but I'm from the Philippines.

If u don't pass your exam then u will have to take ESL program as well but ur offer letter will still be conditional and the visa officers will give u the study permit until the duration of ur ESL program and u will have to get another study permit for your main program. I would suggest you to either give ielts or pass the English assessment and get the non conditional letter from ur college/Uni in order to make your application strong. (English assessment from the college is way easier than ielts u need to read Cantest if ur already in Canada) check online English assessment practice it's not that difficult don't worry.
