Hi all,

I have a doubt regarding proof of funds (POF) that we have to submit post ITA.
I am the primary applicant and my wife is the secondary applicant.

  • Can we show stocks also as a proof of funds or do we need to have the cash in the bank account?
If yes, then
  • My wife has stocks in her name. So can I use her trading account statement as a proof of funds?
  • Or does it has to be under my name?

Thanks

Does the trading account also reflects the liquidation value? Normally I would liquidate the shares in cash to show as POF.

Also for the second part, any proof of funds in your spouse’s name has to be complimented with a supporting evidence confirming your access to the funds.
