Hi there ... I have applied my father's visa on March 26 (online). I am a PR and he is in Nepal, lives with my brother and his family. In addition to the required forms and documents (passport, relationship certificate, invitation letter, statement of travel purpose), we submitted documents like my 2015 notice of assessment and T4a slip , bank a/c info, employment letter, letter from the University confirming my scholarships, fulfilment of the degree requirements, and convocation date, and flight booking confirmation. In addition, my father's pension and retirement document, his bank statement and balance certificate (including fixed deposit) are also enclosed along with an explanation letter.

Immediately after submitting the application, we received two email with "You have message" and one more on the next day about application update. As per current processing time, 22 days, I am expecting any feedback from them by early May.

We received a passport request today. We got an email saying there is a new message and in the online there is a letter (pdf) requesting for the passport.

Great. My father submitted his passport today (April 14) at VFS, Kathmandu. Hopefully we will get back passport by the end of this month. I am not sure how long New Delhi VO takes to return the passport with decision.
