Shall I apply in UK or Canada

My husband and I will be leaving UK on Nov 04 to Hong Kong where we will be leaving for Canada on the 20th. Initially we wanted to apply here in UK and I got my documents pretty much together, police certificate, medical examination, etc. but now after having consulted a lawyer my husband doesn't want to go about applying in UK anymore. What is your advice on this?

Why does he not want to apply in the UK and what does he plan to do instead?

well he thinks it will be more convenient for us in regards to sending documents between Canada and UK because we will have no correspondance here in UK in 2 weeks time. when we got married several docs got lost in post between germany and uk. and because the documents are being processed in Ontario.

You can go to Canada you mean and apply inland where all the documents will stay in Canada but that still does not mean they will not lose anything

yes you are right. but it doesn't matter where I apply from, right?

If you apply inland, you have to be in Canada. If you apply outland, you are asking for your application to be processed in your homeland or country of residence and then immigration will send some of your documents there for processing.
