Hi all,

one of the requirements for visit visa to Canada is a round trip airplane tickets , My relatives live in Alberta and my parents are in UAE, so a direct flight from etihad or emirates airline only goes to Toronto pearson int'l airport.

my question is shall I only make booking from UAE to Toronto only and convince the visa officer that we will buy tickets for the internal flights later on, or shall I book the international and internal flights as well, which both will be very expensive to pay especially the visa is not guaranteed.

Note: Air canada have 24 hour ONLY after booking to refund the ticket money.

You don't have to buy the plane tickets (domestic or international) before getting their visa. Maybe it's required by you (since you post several times). Why don't you buy the tickets since you think it is one of the requirements?

In addition to a direct flight from UAE to Toronto and second leg flight from Toronto to Alberta, there are other international flights options such as UAE to UK to Alberta or UAE to Japan to Alberta.

thx steaky for ur asnwer, but getting transit visa to europe or japan for certain nationalities is another hustle by itself, so taking direct flight to Canada is the easiest option, and airlines going from uae direct to canada are only emirates and etihad which lands at toronto pearson airport, hence i was worried to make a gap in my application where the officer might note ,the host live in alberta and i am only showing reservation tickets upto toronto only,i tried to check aircanada if they allow refund incase i like to cancel if the trv was rejected and found out that they only refund 24 hours after the purchase of tickets.

Typically flight tickets hold very little probative value to a visa application since they have no direct correlation to your socio-economic ties in your country. Don't bother with the travel tickets until you get a visa is the best approach. Who is insisting on this? Is the visa post? Is this on their documentary check list? If refunds are an issue you better obtain a fully refundable ticket but expect to pay a premium on this. Some countries e.g the UK exempt nationals who normally require a transit visa (even if airside) from holding this mandatory transit visa if they say hold a valid US/Canadian visit visa and are travelling to or from the US/Canada within the validity of this visit visa. This would enable say a routing via London Heathrow with direct BA/AC flights to Calgary. If you book with Emirates they will partner with Westjet on the Canada internal sector between Toronto and Calgary/Edmonton.
