For good or for bad, my E-CAS status is gone too! Will post information as soon as there's any update.

Thanks

Some more insights on the cic application tracking tool . If any one of you were following the website http://www.trackitt.com/ , then you can find some one in the fsw or cec application page with same situation as i or u are in and then look for last year near by December applications , we are lucky to have our PER becz many people didn't even have that too.

So enjoy the snow if u are in canada have some hot coffee with some mash mellows :) and relax , if the cic would make a decision which is not likely becz you have received ur PER or they want any other documents they would email us.

Hope this helps :)

I think...

1. If it's due to a technical issue, I guess that E-CAS will be available within 2-3 days.
In the past, E-CAS system was sometimes downed, and then recovered 1-2 days later from the day CIC found the problem.
I found another person who asked CIC call centre and got an answer that "The E-CAS is not available because of the technical issue. CIC's team is working on it."
Because CIC didn't find the problem when you called, some people including you have had long time problem. However, some more people sent inquiries after that... so what CIC argent said is must not be lie, and they should solve the problem ASAP.

2. If it's because of a background check for us, we probably should wait till they send us the Medical Request. (It depends on each VO and Officer. Maybe CPP-O will take the longest time)
As I heard, the most recently, seniors found that E-CAS was updated when ;

Situation App Status shown in E-CASMessage shown in E-CAS (details)
1. CIC received their application In Process "We received your application for permanent residence on Month D, YYYY." <- Maybe I'm still here
2. VO started processing (background check) In Process "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on Month D, YYYY." <- Maybe you are here now
3. CIC received their Medical Results Decision Made "Medical results have been received."
4. CIC made a decision Decision Made "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Mysteaka, thanx for giving ur time to explain all d aspects wat could hav been done!!!!!

Hi,

I noticed My E-CAS became unavailable yesterday. I'm a 7th person (in this thread) who can't login to E-CAS.
According to seniors' experience on the other threads, current E-CAS has two kind of "unavailable" ; "A sign of status changing" and/or "Technical issues".

I don't worry because 7 is a lucky number I guess CIC will contact me later (quite long time later), as the CIC operator told to jaz0020.
Hope whoever has lost E-CAS, its a good sign... like below :)

I was not able to access E-CAS 7months ago when I about to receive my MR. It worked after few days and I was surprised with MR.
Based on that we are thinking it might be good news.

I think we should compile up a list of all the people who cannot login into their Ecas and check the timelines....this news of MR is too good for my case to be true.....

Thanks :)
I added the new column "E-CAS lost" into our table...
If all of us will be able to see the status online after CIC solve current technical problem on E-CAS, I'll remove this column. If some of us will be able to login to E-CAS again but can't find nothing new, I'll remove one's date too ; In that case, maybe only the technical issue causes our E-CAS problem.
Otherwise, it's a good sign but many of us probably have to wait longer like some seniors who lost E-CAS 2-7 months ago.

VO : Visa Office. For processing times, see "Processing times for federal skilled worker applications" on CIC website. CIC explained that "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.". More details can be shown in Help Centre on CIC.

PER : Positive Eligibility Review - An email which shows your file number and so on. It will be sent from CIO if your application passes the initial eligibility review. See the other thread titled "What is PER", a senior's website or this pic for more details.

AOR : Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details.
You can also see the 2nd AOR from Vienna Visa Office here (Thanks Doni!)

MR : Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment.

PPR : Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of passport request and then you can go landing immediately.

funny thing...most of the people who last e-cas are from Ottawa VO and most of these individuals including me got PER in the month of January approximately....

I don't think it discriminated based on VO. Mine is Manila and many others with Manila VO's are also shut out of ECAS.

Sure is annoying though despite the fact that nothing ever changed on ECAS.

It will happen eventually. Its the length of time it takes and then they increase the processing times.
