It depends. How did you family immigrate to Canada? Economic immigration or family sponsorship?

My mother works as a caregiver here in canada for 10yrs, she aplied for a PR status, she include us a family member, we got approved, we got PR status at the same time as my mother, now the whole family is here in canada.. i just cant fully understand the word "sponsored".. am i sponsored? because im not the primary application? is it that simple?

the sept 9 pilot program said,
(resettled refugee, was conferred refugee protection in Canada or were themselves sponsored as a spouse, partner or dependent child) who came to Canada can now sponsor undeclared immediate family members.
In that case the answer is unfortunately no.

Your family immigrated through an economic immigration stream. As you've quoted, the pilot is only open to those who immigrated through a refugee program or a family sponsorship program. And no - you were not sponsored. You were a dependent in your mother's economic immigration application.

is there any way for me to get my girlfriend and undeclared child here in canada? can you talk to me via email? you seem to know alot.. ill explain everything tru email..
I'm sorry - I only share my email with individuals I know and I'm not an immigration consultant or lawyer. If you would like private advice, you'll need to hire a lawyer.

You basically have two options to get them here:

1) Your girlfriend qualifies and applies for PR on her own through an economic immigration program like Express Entry.
2) You renounce your PR status, return to your home country and apply for PR from scratch with your girlfriend (I'm assuming you have lived togehter - if not you can get married).

its ok, if i renounce my PR status, will it affect the PR status of everyone in the family? and how will i get back? can my mother still sponsor me after that?
No - this won't impact the PR status of your family.

You will most likely have to qualify for PR through an immigration stream like Express Entry based on your level of education, work experience, language abilities, age, funds available to settle in Canada and other factors. Assume your mother will not be able to sponsor you. Assume you will have to qualify on your own.

How old are you? Did you live with your girlfriend for at least a year before coming to Canada?

ok heres the story, my mother applied for PR, i got a girlfriend, we lived together for a yr or 2, my girlfriend got pregnant, we got the medical on novermber, my girlfriend gave birth to our child on december(i have my name in my childs birth certficate), then on febuary we got our visa, and we landed on july..
So here's your situation:

- You cannot sponsor your girlfriend or child since you failed to declare both in your mother's application. You were obligated to declare your child and also your girlfriend since you are common law.
- By being common law, you no longer met the dependent definition and should have been removed from your mother's PR application. You obtained your PR through misrepresentation / fraud.
- Your mother cannot sponsor you if you give up your PR status. You are far too old. You will have to qualify for PR on your own.

The fact your mother's application took 10 years is irrelevant. No - you don't qualify as an H&C case.

Again, you and your family committed immigration fraud so that you could get PR status. You're now in a big mess entirely of your own creation.

Hi @scylla.

I am a PNP EE applicant's dependant. My spouse is the main applicant. We received already COPR but the problem is I have a 5 years old child which i didn't mention anywhere in the whole process until now.
Many reasons to mention but it will be enough to say that I was dumb and did the biggest mistake, and I should be completely honest.
For now I am willing to fix it before the landing. Can you please guide me if there is any hope. As I'm still out side the Canada and not Permanent resident yet. Is there any way that I can fix it. Or it's too late ?
Thanks in advance...
