Hello Guys,

I am working in Canada - Ontario on ICT Visa (Inter Company Transfer), which I obtained after my employer (Multi National - IT Consulting company) submitted LMIA Application for myself.

However now i have decided to leave the company and want to travel back to India.

The problem being, my employer is not providing travel expenses for my return journey.

Can you please guide me to any policy or laws which elaborate on the travel related details of LMIA workers.

Any guidance in the matter will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

There is no Canadian law that requires your employer to pay for your return travel expenses.

Depending on the contract you signed with your company, there may be a clause there that states your company will pay for your return journey. However these clauses typically no longer apply if you quit your job.

I think you're most likely on your own and have to pay for your return travel yourself.
