Hello everyone,

My wife and I are planning to move to Canada for the next couple of years. My wife has been accepted into a Canadian university, which allowed her to apply for a student visa. As her spouse, I have applied for an Open Work Permit (OWP).

I want to understand the rules about separate entry. Both of us will receive our visas upon entry at the port of entry, and my visa is linked to hers. Is there a strict rule that we must enter together on the same day and at the same airport?

So she applied to a masters/PhD program? When did she apply.

Your visa is linked to her study permit. You don’t have to enter at the same time but she should enter first.

Hello. She has applied for admission to the Master's program and her studies will begin in September this year. We plan to move together, but in some cases it will be more convenient for me to arrive a couple of days after her. I just wanted to make sure there were no problems
