Hola, I am a newbie here.. Well, I have an MBA in Marketing which I did soon after my 4 years bachelors degree, followed by about 9 years work experience. As I can say, most of what I studied in MBA, I learnt well through my work and MBA seems pre-mature study back then. Now, I am keen on taking up a PG Diploma in Advertising in Canada for Sep 2021 intake.

Reading through various earlier threads, I see quite a few rejections.
  • I fear my application will be rejected cuz I have a Masters. How should I go about it?
  • Should I consider a 1 year course that gives Visa Officer a confidence that its a short course, hence a short PGWP implying I will return to India after studies? Or take up a 2 year course that really complements my work experience?
Thanks in Advance :D

Having multiple Masters is only an issue if you are applying for the same course/field for which you already have a Master's degree. However, doing a PG in anything after a Master's is a red flag. Not sure how Advertising relates to your Bachelor's but you need to proof that a degree in Advertising is a natural/logical progression career-wise. And you need to apply for a Masters (unless you have a strong argument for why a PGD will serve you better).

1 year course is not going to help your case either.

Opt for specialisation like supply chain management which u studied in mba I guess... Opt for cape Breton University and apply now for offer letter because they take around two months for offer letter issuing ... My friend who did mba got visa few days ago with same profile for cape Breton University

I agree with the comments above. A solid explanation is needed as to which stream/ and why an MBA again.

My wife also has an MBA in Finance which she completed in 2012. We recently applied for her MBA in International Business for Jan 2021. She has been self-employed for the last 7 years. We have explained everything why International Business is needed at the moment and how it will help her in her business in the future. We are hoping it goes through.

Hii all, I have a query regarding Cape breton university. Do they accept application with 49 percent overall marks in grads?
Thanks.
