Sent commonlaw application, noticed a typo on the name(s) we typed

Hi guys,

We sent our Common Law application and got an AOR1.

We didn't notice that on IMM0008, question 13 where it asks for the spouse/common law partner's name, we typed my given name in the family name field and vice versa (basically we switched the family name and given name).

What should I do to remedy this?

Do we need to send this form in again with a cover letter through personal mail or can it be done through email?

nothing unless cic asks for an updated form. after i sent in my application, i noticed many typos and even missing answers. it had no affect on my application, and i was never asked for new forms. of course this is dependant on the visa office and officer. i'd recommend doing nothing for now. it may not even be an issue. sending something in without a request can cause confusion.

I think they go by the name on the identity documents supplied anyway.
