And why would you do something like this in the first place
So you are essentially using UWO application of admission to get a visa......1st point
You are going to attend Humber college 1st semester realistically ........2nd point
You are then going to transfer to UWO from Humber college......3rd point

Why?

Hmmmmm.....lets see..........hmmmmmm......Do you really want to study in Canada or you coming here for some other purpose...
Just curious, the reason I ask is if you know what you are going to study if you know what program you are interested in why do all this stuff and make it confusing. I am feeling a little uncomfortable about this let alone the poor Immigration Officer accessing your case

What do you want to study?
Why are you thinking about changing from UWO?

yes you can do that...for sure. the option is available as long as you are on the same level of study..for eg masters to masters.. you will be ok.

Infact I am planing to do the same. I have applied on concordia university admission for my visa and since now I have the admission letter for UWO as well I intend to go to UWO. But I will not tell this to the visa officer on port of entry. y make the case complicated for him. more over unlike you I am goignt o make the switch immediately. I will not be attending the concordia at all.

If you need any other info send a message to my inbox

You need to be very careful, you are "misrepresenting" - if immigration find you doing this, then you could be causing yourself a lot of problems.

No bro, I don't see a problem here, international students can change institutions without notifying CIC as long as they are studying at post-secondary level. Even UWO's website states the same: http://www.sdc.uwo.ca/int/visa/index.html?sp#changing
Danishali bro, at the port of entry in Canada you must show the letter of acceptance that you submitted to CHC and NOT the letter of acceptance of the institution you will be switching to at a later stage.

Good luck,

Cheers ;-)

1-Yes you can change institutions without informing CIC as long as you're study at post-secondary level so go to Humber College if you want to but don't mention it to the immigration officer at the port of entry otherwise you are like shooting yourself in the foot. Just show him/her the documents that you used in order to get visa.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/study/study-faq13.asp

2-I seriously doubt that you'll be able to transfer credits from Humber to UWO like that. You better make up your mind about choosing the right course and institution now and stick with it.

Hope this helps.

Cheers ;-)

acemsyed - he also needs to understand this when entering Canada:

Entering Canada — The basic requirements

Everyone must meet basic requirements to come to Canada. For example, you must not pose a threat to the health, safety or security of Canada. any record of criminal activity could prevent you from being allowed to come to Canada. you also must not provide false information or fraudulent documentation, or withhold information that could be related to your application.

Yes Baloo bro I fully agree with you and understand your point of view but from the info Ammar has given I don't see he has any ulterior motives or that he's trying to pull a fraudulent act. He's entering Canada to study and CIC permits him to change his mind about going to the institution that he mentioned on his visa application or at the port of entry. As long as his primary goal is to STUDY, he shouldn't have any problem even if he decides to change institutions after his arrival in Canada.

Cheers ;-)

BAD idea ! your study permit will run out before you're able to finish your studies in Canada and it can give rise to all sorts of problems for you.

@ dansih can u send me ur cell number and also let me know about ur status i have submitted my medicals to university on 7th dec they told me that i vl take 10-15 days
submitted medicals or university or CHC ?

Cheers ;-)
