Pre-Assessed..
Documents assesment by WES is going to be a long and difficult process for me,so i dont want to go for it without seeing any possibility of ITA

I havent assesed my docs with WES yet, neither i applied for PCC.
Is it mandatory to get my documents assesed by WES before ITA or it is required only after getting ITA?.

Plz let me know whether i can get points for my educational degrees without WES assesment and if i can can get ITA .
Thanks

You can't claim points under CRS for education and Skills transferability without getting your foreign education credentials assessed by WES or similar organizations approved by CIC. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

WES allows you to do a free provisional assessment to see what your educational equivalency would be in the Canadian context. Strongly recommend that you do it asap. http://www.wes.org/ca/immigrants/preliminary.asp

Yes, it is mandatory to get your documents assessed by WES if you're planning to apply under FSWP.

You cannot get points for your foreign education without assessment and you'll have to submit the actual ECA report after getting an ITA.

All the best!

[Have done the provisional assesment.but the only problem for me would be to send my documents in a sealed envelope from university as i no longer live in the country i got my degree from.

Or is there any alternative way of assesment so that i am not required to send them in sealed envelope from uni.though all my transcripts and degrees r attested by ministry of external affairs, higher education affairs.
So going for all this troublesome process without any possibility of ITA seems unreasonable. ]

I'm afraid there is no real alternative. WES has standardized documentation requirements for each country and you'll have to abide by them. That is why WES is trusted by CIC in the first place.

Applicants (FSW and CEC both) go through this trouble and more only for the sake of those elusive CRS points. If you have another way of getting those CRS points (via a PNP or LMIA supported job offer) then you don't need to take the trouble of ECA.

All the best!

Yes. FSWP and CEC are 2 streams under Express Entry.

Asivad,

Among the two streams - FSWP and CEC - which one is the fastest possible way to get ITA and things done?

Thanks

No one really understands EE timelines completely yet. We've seen members of either stream moving from application submission post ITA to PR in 8-12 weeks.

Asivad,

Thanks for the answer buddy. Can you please share the step by step process post WES and IELTS in hand in respect to FSWP and CEC.

Process is largely the same as are the documentation requirements. The only real difference is that someone with Canadian work experience can qualify for both FSWP and CEC while someone with zero Canadian work experience will be eligible only for FSWP.

When you create the EE profile, the system automatically determines which program you're eligible for based on the information provided by you.
